The Windsor Chair was designed in 1938 by the Danish architect and cabinetmaker Frits Henningsen. In continuous production at Carl Hansen & Sn until 2003, this majestic chair is now reissued with modern comfort in mind.
Making the FH38 Windsor Chair requires the skills of an experienced joiner – it features many artisanal challenges and carpentry techniques.
The Windsor Chair is very sculptural, and the backrest is taller than necessary for a regular dining chair. It is a fusion of a dining chair and a lounge chair, which makes it both versatile and comfortable.
