The 28 series of lamps is a result of a glass blowing technique whereby air is intermittently blown inand then sucked out of a piece of glass.The result is a distorted spherical shape with an interior landscape of satellite shapes, including an opaque milk glass diffuser that housesa light source.
This surface light has a discrete 55mm mounting plate designed for installation on walls or ceilings.

Technical note on power supplies
Bocci recommends mounting transformers remotely in a concealed but easily accessible location for ease of long-term maintenance.
