Choosing and sizing
How do I choose the right size cookware for my stove?
Match the base diameter to your burner or induction zone rather than to the pan rim: a 10-inch skillet needs a 8-inch-plus burner, and an induction cooktop only heats the area covered by its coil. Every cookware listing on this site states base diameter, capacity and oven-safe temperature, so compare those three figures against what you already own before ordering.
Are your knives and dinnerware safe in a dishwasher?
It depends on the material, and each product page says so explicitly. High-carbon and laminated Japanese blades should be hand washed and dried immediately, glazed stoneware and bone china are generally dishwasher safe on a low-heat cycle, and anything with a gold or platinum rim must never go in a dishwasher because the metallic trim will dull.
What does the brand field on each listing refer to?
The brand is whoever manufactured or authored the item as sold: a coppersmith for a hammered pot, a glassworks for a stem, a card publisher for a single trading card. Where a listing carries a designer name in the title and a workshop name in the brand field, both are accurate — the workshop produces it under licence.
Is every item in stock and ready to ship?
The inventory figure on each page is live, not estimated. Items marked in stock leave our US facility within 1–2 business days. If a listing shows a low count, that is the number of units on hand — once it reaches zero we do not backorder silently, so you are never charged for something we cannot dispatch.
Shipping and delivery
How quickly will my order arrive?
Orders placed before 2:00 PM Central on a business day are picked the same day and handed to the carrier within 1–2 business days. Transit then runs 2-5 business days for the contiguous United States. A tracking number is emailed the moment the parcel is scanned by the carrier, not when the label is printed.
What is the free shipping threshold?
Ground shipping is free once your cart passes $39. Below that figure the carrier rate is calculated at checkout and displayed in full before you enter payment details — there is no handling fee added afterwards, and no surcharge for oversized boxes such as a stockpot or a serving platter.
Can you ship to Alaska, Hawaii or an APO address?
Standard checkout covers the contiguous United States. For Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories and APO/FPO addresses, email us the item codes and the destination ZIP before ordering and we will confirm the carrier surcharge. We do not quietly cancel orders that fall outside the standard zone — we quote first.
Orders, returns and warranty
Can I add to or cancel an order I just placed?
Email us with the order number as soon as you can. Additions and cancellations are possible while the order sits in the picking queue, which is usually a window of a few hours. Once a parcel is scanned by the carrier it cannot be recalled, and the standard return process applies instead.
What if something arrives chipped or broken?
Photograph the item and the outer carton before discarding anything, then email us within 48 hours of delivery. Breakage in transit and mis-shipments are replaced or refunded at our cost, including return freight. Keeping the packaging matters because carriers require it for a damage claim, and a photo of the box often settles the claim without a return at all.
Which items cannot be returned once opened?
Food, pantry goods, tea and coffee, opened cutlery sets, personalised or engraved pieces, and any item that has been used for cooking are excluded for hygiene and food-safety reasons. Everything else can be returned within 30 days of delivery provided it is unused and in its original packaging with the tags or seals intact.
Do you offer volume pricing for restaurants or gift shops?
Yes. We quote per line item rather than a flat sitewide percentage, because shipping weight and breakage risk differ enormously between a stack of plates and a single knife. Email the item codes, quantities and your delivery deadline, and we will reply with a quote and a realistic dispatch date.
Where can I find my invoice or receipt?
An order confirmation is emailed at the moment of purchase, and a receipt is attached to the dispatch notice. If you need a copy, or the invoice has to carry a business name, purchase-order number or resale certificate, email us the order number and we will reissue it as a PDF.
Is there a warranty on cookware and small appliances?
Manufacturer warranties are passed through in full: enamel cast iron commonly carries a lifetime limited warranty, stainless cookware and cutlery typically 10 to 25 years, and small appliances 1 to 2 years. We help you file the claim but do not layer a separate store warranty on top. Normal wear, thermal shock and dishwasher damage are excluded by every manufacturer we carry.
Why do two similar listings carry different prices?
Usually because they are genuinely different goods: same silhouette but a different clay body, a different steel, a different rim finish, or a different pack count. Compare the material, capacity and finish lines rather than the photograph. If two listings appear identical down to the maker and the size, email us the item codes and we will tell you which one to buy.
Full delivery and return conditions are on our Returns & Shipping page.
